Description
This beautiful Golden Tiger Longwing butterfly is perched on a yellow blown glass display in the Franklin Conservatory, Columbus, Ohio. This beauty was part of their annual butterfly exhibit. I angled the shot so that the pink glass arch in the background perfectly frames the butterfly. The original photo image has been digitally edited to achieve a painted canvas effect. I hope you enjoy this butterfly artwork as much as I enjoyed creating it!
The Tiger Longwing, Hecale Longwing, Golden Longwing, or Golden Heliconian (Heliconius hecale) is a Heliconiid butterfly that occurs from Mexico to the Peruvian Amazon.
