Description
A beautiful long wing butterfly is resting in the garden on delicate grass blades, pausing before moving on to the next colorful bloom. The Sapho Longwing is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family, and was described by Dru Drury in 1782. It is found from Mexico southward to Ecuador. This image was captured at the Franklin Park Conservatory, in Columbus, Ohio, during their butterfly exhibit. I edited the photo image, using digital painting and texture, to achieve this effect.
