The gray wolf, also known as the timber wolf or western wolf, is a canine native to the wilderness and remote areas of Eurasia and North America.
This image of Cana, a gray timber wolf, was captured in the early evening hours at a private farm in central Ohio, USA. Born in 2009, Cana is an amazing asset to the ambassador program at Ironwood Wolves. Her outgoing and gentle nature has served her well in helping educate about how caring and affectionate wolves are. She truly loves her job, and is most enthusiastic about everything she does. Cana comes from a working ambassador animal line in Canada, with many of her siblings doing ambassador work all over the world. Cana absolutely adores children. Because of this, she will help educate the next generation, who are ultimately responsible for the future of the environment.
