Description
While photographing some lilies in my garden, I noticed this little ladybug, enjoying a bright orange bloom. She was enjoying the summer sun and posed politely while I snapped a few shots. I added some digital texture to my photo image to create the desired finished artwork.
The ladybug (Coccinellidae) is a widespread family of small beetles ranging from 0.8 to 18 mm. They are commonly yellow, orange, or red with small black spots on their wing covers, with black legs, heads and antennae. However such colour patterns vary greatly. When flying, a ladybird flaps its wings 85 times per second!
