Artist's Description
I had been photographing nature and flowers in a local garden, and as I was losing daylight, decided to head for home. As I was walking back to my car I looked up through a beautiful tree, and caught a glimpse of this lovely waxing gibbous moon. I chose to put the leaves of the tree out of focus in order to bring the eye immediately to the beauty of the moon and capture the stillness and quiet of the moment. I also wanted to create a bit of mystery and allow the viewer to complete the story.
