This beautiful Siberian has an expression of surprise as her green eyes give a piercing stare. She is intent and curious, and oh, so sweet! Photo painting and texture added to the photo image to create this finished work.
The Siberian is a landrace variety of domestic cat, present in Russia for centuries. A longer name of the formal breed is Siberian Forest Cat. Siberians first arrived in the United States in 1990. Although they are gaining popularity, the expense of importing the cats from Russia keeps the breed relatively rare outside of Europe.
The Siberian is a strong and powerful cat, known to be an exceptionally agile jumper, with strong hindquarters and large, well rounded paws and an equally impressive large full tail. They have barrelled chests and medium/large sized ears, large eyes, broad foreheads, and stockier builds than other cats. Their large round eyes give an overall sweet expression to their face.
