Description
The wings on this gorgeous Julia butterfly almost appear to be stained glass, as the morning light shines down through them. Capturing this image from underneath reveals the true beauty of it's wings.
Dryas iulia (often incorrectly spelled julia), commonly called the Julia butterfly, Julia heliconian, the flame, or flambeau, is a species of brush-footed butterfly.
