A lone kayak appears to be taking an afternoon nap on the beach beneath the shade of a palm tree. Photo image taken on the Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, USA. I used digital textures and blending modes to achieve the painted canvas effect.

Isle of Palms is a city in South Carolina, on the slender barrier island of the same name. It’s known for its beautiful beaches backed by condos and eateries. Sea turtles nest in the area. Neighboring Sullivan’s Island is home to Fort Moultrie, site of important battles during the American Revolution and the Civil War.
