Description
I was photographing a field of sunflowers, and noticed this beautiful monarch butterfly, stopping along the way to gather nectar in the morning sun. I was thrilled to capture this image of such a beautiful Monarch. What a peaceful, almost magical place to rest, before continuing on the journey. Photographed in the central Ohio area. Digital textures were added to achieve the painterly canvas appearance.
