Description
This small Skink Lizard seems to be energizing as he crawls along a wire fence in the evening sun. This is a photograph with digital editing to create this effect.
Skinks are intriguing small lizards. When you do encounter one, it's often during the day when it is sunning itself on a rock or other surface in the garden.
Skinks are lizards belonging to the family Scincidae and the infraorder Scincomorpha. With more than 1,500 described species, the Scincidae are one of the most diverse families of lizards.
