Description
A visit from a tiny female Ruby-throated hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) resulted in a rare capture of rest. She had been flying around the red bee balm (Monarda) flowers gathering nectar, and then just stopped. I was fortunate to get several snaps before she continued on her way. I am always amazed at the beautiful detail in bird feathers; a wonderful gift to behold.
Bee Balm is a favorite flower with sweet nectar in the bright red blooms, and very attractive to bees and hummingbirds during summer. A lovely nature photo art to brighten the walls of your home or office. Also available on many other home decor and gift items.
