Description
This sweet little button buck was laying in my back yard one afternoon. A button buck is a male fawn six months of age or younger. He's called a button buck because though his antlers haven't yet grown, two bumps or "buttons" have emerged on top of his head. He and his twin sister were born this spring, and I watched them grow as they explored my yard and the neighborhood all summer. His twin sister and mother were laying just a few feet away, tucked behind some pine trees. He stayed still but watched me intently as I captured this portrait image.
I added texture and composited a painted background to achieve the golden toned painted canvas style. Another photo version of this image is also available in my gallery.
This would be perfect for a child's bedroom or for anyone who enjoys animals, wildlife, and nature.
